RH124 Part 1 Review: Timed Practice

Exam-style practice: a new DevOps team joins WebAsha. Complete all tasks on servera within 45 minutes, without hints if you can. Everything must survive a reboot.

Tasks

1. Create group devops and user neha with devops as a supplementary group and the password Review@2026.
2. Make neha's password expire every 60 days, with a warning 7 days before.
3. Let members of devops run any command as any user via sudo (password required), using a file in /etc/sudoers.d.
4. Create /srv/devops owned by group devops, with full access for owner and group, none for others, and group inheritance for new files.
5. Create a bzip2-compressed tar archive /root/ssh-config.tar.bz2 of /etc/ssh.
6. Set up key-based SSH so student can log in to serverb without a password.
7. Add the address 172.25.250.30/24 and the DNS server 172.25.250.254 to connection eth1 persistently, keeping the existing address.
8. Save the full paths of all files in /usr/bin with the SUID bit set to /root/suid-files.txt, one per line.
